THE “BLACK SWAN” GOLD MARKET TODAY

“Pick the number 19, and you are there!”

Here we are on market day 7, of what is an amazing run of bat excrement “tail risk” run amok days on the “dead side” of the probability distribution curve; who knew a week or 10 days ago we would be staring in the face of a gold market “black swan”.

Briefly, for those that don’t know, “black swan” events are those described by Nick Taleb in his landmark book “The Black Swan”, where “out of the blue” events transpire in financial markets, wholly unpredictable in nature & scope, where nobody had a clue that what happened just happened, and involve “tail risk” on the probability curve and are labeled as such. [Note: Anybody that would like a PDF copy of this book, email me at traderzoogold@gmail.com and I’ll send it to you.]

And while gambling relates to mutually exclusive probabilistic events, and are guided solely by the math, markets are not mutually exclusive and are guided by market history; but the gambling analogy fits to a certain extent when viewed in the context of the roulette wheel pictured above. If the casino let you bet against the number 19 [which they don’t], and you laid down $38 [double zero wheel] to make $1 if the number 19 doesn’t show up on a spin of the little ball, how many times would you double, triple, quadruple up to get that money back, just so you can make $1?

I made this subtle, but very important point yesterday; eventually everything has to happen! Not kinda, woulda, shoulda … everything has to happen. If you were a gambler at this roulette wheel, how would you handle this situation? Would you even think about this situation you find yourself suddenly in before you went to gamble? I’m betting nobody would say yes.

And yet, in this context of talking about “tail risk”, suddenly I, as a gold trader, am very much like the people standing at this roulette wheel and saying to themselves, “WTF is happening here? … How do I process this? … Where is the ‘battle plan’ for this tail risk I thought most likely would never happen in my lifetime?… Now that this stuff is face-to-face with me, and I’m living through it in real time, it is difficult for me to simply accept this event as somehow ‘normal’ in the infinite flow of time … Come back in 5 million years and ask 1) how many times has this happened to gold, and 2) what’s the longest stretch in time so far?… And after only 40+ years of market history behind it, is that enough data and/or evidence to accurately draw any kind of solid conclusion?

But here’s the problem … “IT’S ALL WE [I] HAVE TO GO ON! … THERE ISN’T ANYTHING ELSE IN HUMAN HISTORY! … and so, the only viable solution that exists that doesn’t end up metaphorically “killing you” is to sit on your hands and wait for it to be over; absolutely NOT saying, “oh, it can’t go past 7 or 8 days like this … it just can’t! … you said that at 4 & 5, now at 7 what do you do”?

This is what’s known as “THE TRADERS FALLACY”; somehow, through twisted mathematical logic that makes no sense upon closer examination, you come to the conclusion that “Mr. Market” just has to go up today or down today … cuz it just has to! … and it doesn’t and you lose more and more money.

Nothing brings this closer to home for me than the other “Black Swan” event of the last 50 years, the great October 1987 crash in the stock market, a 36 SDEV [standard deviation] “tail risk” mutation that shook the world into shock. Prior to the crash, and since the start of futures trading in the SP500, I would have guys [yes, more than one] standing next to me in the pit telling me every frickin’ day, “oh man, Barry listen to me man … OMG, this shit is gonna crash and go almost to zero! … you can’t keep buyin’ this stuff man … you just can’t”! And day after day, week after week, and year after year the SP500 index just kept climbing; and all these people who were literally standing in line to see who could be the most bearish … when the crash came, where the hell were they? I’ll tell you where they were; “they were back in the Pudding Business cuz they bucked the streak … they couldn’t ‘go with the flow’ … they sold it every day for 5 years and got it mostly shoved up you know where cuz they mistakenly believed it ‘JUST HAD TO BREAK’ … JUST HAD TO! … and yet it didn’t until they were no longer there … and when it eventually did what it did, not A SINGLE ONE OF THEM WAS THERE TO CAPTURE ANY OF THE DOWNSIDE CARNAGE CUZ THEY WERE ALL BROKE! … there is a valuable ‘lesson’ to be learned from this, so please don’t ignore it!

What we are now facing in gold is on the opposite side … no headline grabbing news of a “dead market”, cuz nobody finds it “newsworthy” that a market is just sitting there and doing nothing … what people want to hear about are guys jumping out the windows or otherwise ending it all cuz markets are so “crazy”; “OMG, this guy killed himself it’s so nuts”! What ordinary Sheeple don’t understand is that many a professional trader meets his “moment with the abyss” from this side of the probability curve, and I can tell you flat out the graveyard of Chicago traders is filled to the clouds with otherwise smart people who never figured this kind of thing could or would happen in the market they called “home”.

Here at the New York open … day 7, you know the rest.

Half hour in, and that escalated quickly didn’t it? First take out the lingering longs with a dealer stop hunt, and now a rally to punish the shorts; maybe gold is getting back to normal.

Ok, HVALUE greater than $5, however, as I have repeatedly told you, buying/selling breakouts on support/resistance lines is pure folly and will lose you more money the times you are wrong than you can make the times you are right; never got a signal to sell on the rally up off the lows, which weren’t that great to begin with given the last 6 days of building sell stops that you knew were under the market. If the low had been greater than a $12 HVALUE, I would have bought off the lower SDEV line.

And then SHTF in USDJPY with a 40+ PIP out the window waterfall in 5 minutes, and it was elevator up time for gold. The reason for the USDJPY waterfall clusterfark? CNBC, citing unnamed sources [cuz clearly, nobody wants there name on this BS], says Treasury report to say Japan & China are “currency manipulators” … “umm yea, we’ve pretty much known that since from about 30 years ago, thanks”. But it’s not the “news” that’s the news, it’s the timing of the news that matters; to wit, “talking heads” break this story right after gold hits its low for the day, thus giving dealers and bullion banks an excuse to sell the $7 rally that immediately ensued. None of this “fake news” is accidental; it’s done with coordination and timing to ensure the “right” people and/or bullion banks are the ones who benefit. And who do you think the losers are?

Two trades today; both on the long side after the CNBC mess; one worked and the other didn’t. Directly below the two trades.

They should have canceled each other out and been a complete scratch, but the second trade as the market is racing up to its high for the M1 of 1250.55, as soon as I see it go 1250.50 bid I hit the liquidate button [mind you, on the way up] and get filled at 1250.31 … where this bat excrement fill came from I haven’t a clue, so that cost us about $20, and adding it all up for both trades it’s another very small $20 something loss for the day. Truth be told, this is a victory day and will go down as one of my best trading days ever from a decision making standpoint. Everybody likes to talk about big winning days … no, your biggest “winners” were your losing days where you skirted disaster, dodged the bullets, and came out at the end with basically a scratch day.

While saying today was marginally better than the last 6 days, it’s like saying in Phoenix today it was only 117° and not the 122° it’s been the last 6 days, so it’s somehow not as hot and better. No, today was the 7th day in a row of complete bat excrement; granted the HVALUE was greater than $5 … big whoop … still no range, and the infamous doji trademark, the “Flying Wedge of Death” was in full effect today. Here’s a recap of today’s action; 1) open at 1250, 2) take the sell stops out and plummet down to the low just below 1246, 3) fart around a few minutes around the low until the CNBC “unnamed sources” piece on currency manipulation hits the airwaves and then rocket back up to 1251, 4) spend the next 4 hours in a $2.50 range going back and forth over the 50%retracement line about 50 times, 5) scream back to the low as USDJPY attempts [and fails] to make a double reversal on the day and make a new high, and 6) move back to the middle having clobbered both longs and shorts the entire day. Unless you were scalping for pennies, you got trapped and/or took heat or losses, with very few winners. So, open … hit low … go to high … go back to low … go back to high … go back to low … come back to middle … “Thanks, come again”!

In essence what the day boiled down to is following almost tick-for-tick USDJPY, and all it took was a 3-5 PIP move in Yen ± the 111.40 – 111.45 area to get gold racing up or plummeting down; and when there was no follow through, now you’re trapped chasing the bid/offer to get a fill. At the Comex close here at 2:30 P.M. ESDT, USDJPY has in fact now made a new high and run some buy stops; gold for it’s part not participating by hitting a new low, or even coming close [yet]. With less than 5 minutes to the close, anything you do here is likely to not work for you but against you as the dealers widen the spread and liquidity dries up going into rollover and Asia. And in true gold bullion dealer fashion, and so they can cover some short positions, the market gets muscled here after the close to a new low by 5 pennies and proceeds to go straight up about 60 cents; some things never change.

I want to be clear here; I’m not managing funds to make or lose ± $20 or $50 or something similar; by the same token I’m not much interested in putting my head under a guillotine either just to see if the gears work; what I need to see from the gold market before I commit money is a willingness on the part of the market to work like it usually does the vast majority of the time; when it doesn’t work and we get either the “Flying Wedge of Death” and/or small doji’s [which very often run hand-in-hand], the key for me as a trader is to break even and/or take minor insignificant losses that don’t mean anything. In the scheme of things this is the only way to fly the plane without hitting the side of a mountain when in fog.

If I put anybody in a winning $2 per Oz. position, any chimp could make money [well, maybe not … I do know some people]; the problem with gold lately [last 7 days in particular] is that price changes so quickly, you run the risk of a run against you if you don’t react; with most times the runs being “fake outs”, but in the moment you don’t know that, and the way the market is trading right now I don’t have the luxury of a moving market that can make back losses with further volatility later in the day. Hence, the caution. And while today’s daily chart may show an improving market with new lows after the Comex close to simply “pretty the tape” up and make it look somewhat normal, it was day 7 of complete crap, filled with trips to the highs and lows multiple times that nobody wants to see; cuz when you fade these small ranges and HVALUES, while you may make a few coins in the short term, at some point real soon they carry you out in a stretcher from losses that come from a screaming market going against you.

And while I am adverse to any kind of loss from any trade, if you had told me 10 days ago I would be down a hundred and some dollars from trading after today, I would have told you then what kind of market conditions would need to be present for that to happen; namely, doji’s & FWD’s all over the place. Over the years they come and go, and there are times when they hang around for longer than I would like [like now for instance], but they are a necessary condition that has to happen from time to time. I’m not making excuses; just providing some perspective. And by the way, there isn’t any other market that is any better right now; watching USDJPY on that CNBC story, price was gapping all over the place, with bid/offer changes 10+ PIPS in seconds. So it’s not like there was any better liquidity there either, and I would also remind everyone what USDJPY is like when it goes into a 100 PIP range for 6 months, which it has done 3 times in the last 4 years. You wanna see small doji’s with no ranges and/or HVALUES and FWD’s?

So, bottom line is that gold isn’t doing anything any other market hasn’t done either; we just happen to be smack dab in the middle of a pig pen at the moment, where my top priority is to not get “whacked” while attempting to position us for profits. It’s impossible to make a lot of money when the market refuses to move one way or the other without retracing practically all of a move a short time later.

Hopefully, today is a good sign that gold is breaking out of its mess, and that higher HVALUES and ranges are on the way; we’ll see, but in the meantime keep your eye firmly on the prize. Sure, “escaping to success” has to have profits, but it also has to have no big losses as well, cuz when the profits come the tiny losses are made up very quickly and easily. Trading conditions simply cannot be worse than what we’ve experienced these last few weeks; this too shall pass as it’s done in the past. Onward & upward mi amigos, tomorrow is another opportunity.

STUPIDITY EXEMPLIFIED

WHEN “GREAT” TRADING MINDS THINK ALIKE

My heartfelt congratulations to the dumb ass large gold traders who took gold out on a $74 up-down-up-down-back up roller coaster date in 10 minutes; I’m sure your Mums would be proud. “Hey, I never, ever said they were smarter than you, just that they have more money to lose to play with and then ultimately do “stupid shit”.” And boy, did some people ever fit that category today or what?
It never ceases to amaze me, even after decades of trading, that traders/investors/pundits place any emphasis at all on the jobs numbers coming out of the Bureau of Unicorns & Fairy Tales the first Friday of each month; these numbers have been, are now, and will be in the future, nothing more than sugar & cinnamon laced piles of statistical bullshit designed to placate the public that “all is well”. And in the face of this bullshit, we got Obamacare health care premiums skyrocketing on the helpless middle class; we got the CEO of Family Dollar stores [not exactly “high end” shopping] telling us biz is awful because people are struggling; WalMart laying off 7,000 workers; Hanjin [one of the world’s largest shippers] declaring bankruptcy, and most telling the worker from WalMart [via Zero Hedge yesterday] talking about how a $27,000 a year desk job [read “Pudding Business” here folks] is “coveted” and that there is a long waiting list to get this kind of paper pushing back office gig. Seriously, WTF is wrong with this country when you got people thinking like this?
But, not to worry, cuz CNBC talking heads are already painting the rosy picture of “stocks are rallying” [cuz nothing says new all time highs are in the cards better than a world falling apart before your very lyin' eyes], and President Empty Suit will utter whatever inane comments about how his totalitarian regime is continuing the “recovery” from the evil Bush administration, blah blah yada yada, “stop, I’m getting fucking sick listening to all this propaganda bullshit!” Somewhere, Joseph Goebbels is smiling.
So natch, coming into this clusterfuck the first Friday of every month, the only sane thing to do is sit on the sidelines and watch big money literally kill themselves in seconds to the dealer & bullion bank community, which is only to happy to provide them the rope to hang themselves; this month being no exception. And after the stops on both sides of the market have been “cleaned out”, and by default of course fills given at the extremes, what happens next?
Why of course, not a damn thing, as everybody looks around and says to themselves, “WTF just happened, and do I want to play anymore today?” And those of you that got your ass handed to you from this stupidity, you now got a 3 day weekend to digest it all sitting in a corner somewhere in a fetal position mumbling to yourself something along the lines of, “Never again am I going to get caught in this shit”, until 4 weeks from now it probably happens again. For the bullion banks & dealers, Christmas comes 12 times a year.
Ok, so after the “fun & games” of watching money destruction in seconds, we now got a market that rocketed through the exhaustion lines of RM=1 [not unusual on NFP days to be sure], and the only thing to do is wait until the market backs off from “profit taking” [whatever that means] and we get the plum line close to the yellow line [or below it], and then on the plum line slope change [up], make the trade to get long. Now, since the range is already blown out above $20, this first attempt from a retracement isn’t most likely [in fact probability wise is very low] to produce anything lasting in terms of a rally; so, I’m trading the trade like I would if we were below the daily white horizontal line. Below is today’s trade.

[Note: click mouse once anywhere on chart to enlarge]

Once I’m in this thing, I know we will get a move back up, the only questions are how much and how quick? More importantly, I also know that the probability is high for a quick move up, and when it’s over, it turns around with a vengeance and heads $0.50 - $1.50 lower within a couple of seconds; I can’t wait for a red M1 candlestick to be put in before I sell and liquidate because the risk is too great at these levels; if I do I will get a horrible fill from the dealer. Therefore, many times I will place a limit sell order where I want to get out. Here, in this trade, my opening long fill was at 1324.41, a few cents above the previous M1 after it had originally opened and been red, now had turned green and turned the plum slope line positive.
I’m not looking for anything gigantic here in terms of profit; we’ve already had that opportunity come and go, and that ship has sailed. What I’m looking for is anything above about $1.50 per Oz., while at the same time keeping a close eye on how fast we are moving up from the slope change. If the M1 wants to keep going up, fine, I’ll happily follow it up as far as it wants to go all the way to the exhaustion lines [please?], but the second it starts slowing that rate of increase, red flags go up the flagpole [specifically because of the +$20 range] and I know from experience I am a very short time period away from liquidating this trade.
The minute before I liquidated, price seems to be slowing some, with price hesitating between 1325.25 and 1325.55 “bid”. At the start of the next M1, price “popped” up to 1325.70 “bid”; I immediately placed my liquidation limit sell order at 1326.00. What I don’t want to see, is the market go 1326.05 bid, and the next millisecond the bid is 1325.78, and the next second it’s at 1325.50, and I hit liquidate and get filled at 1325.38 or some such shit like that. Been there, done that; that’s why I tell you, you have to sell on the way up to get the best price from the dealer or he/she/it will treat you like a Thai hooker [just to be clear – not that I would know or anything; I read a lot.]. It simply doesn’t matter what happens after you exit; 2 seconds later it could be 1326.60 “bid” and you got that shit eating grin on your face like you just made the dumbest trade ever, and then you blink your eyes and it’s 1325.70 “offered” on the way down. When it comes to gold, seconds definitely matter, and hindsight is not something that should be in your vocabulary.
And so, here we are, gold “Thelma & Lousie’d” off a cliff only to see the obligatory “melt up” seconds later [“Hey, what’s $20 per Oz. among friends, huh?”], a rather weak test of the melt up highs, and then everybody and their brother who got long looking for “only God knows” for a continuation of the price going up, only to see a dealer/bullion bank “Trump fence” [about a mile high and deep] being erected with sell orders coming into the market and “hey, you got screwed again!” with a move back down into the 13 teens.
I’m not one to argue with market price; that’s a “fool’s errand” for the likes of Gartman and the worthless pukes “talking heads” at CNBC. I am, though, surprised at the magnitude of the melt up in price just shy of 1330 from seconds earlier at 1307. Ok, the numbers missed by 30K; so what? Does 151K jobs mean the FED doesn’t raise rates? Still plenty of time [19 days] for the FED Pie Holes [and their sycophants – paging Steve Liesman] to give us “blah blah, yada yada” about “dot plots”, “rate normalization”, and other such horse shit, so you can be as confused as humanely possible come September 21 as to what they will do; hell, until they actually vote, they don’t even know what to do.
I still don’t think sub 1300 is “off the table”; all they have really done today is blown the shorts a new one – a very much short “crowded” trade just got a lot leaner with today’s action. The “melt up” notwithstanding, I just don’t see any kind of sustained rally going past 1330 -1338 before the FED meeting on September 21; plenty of time for the bullion banks & dealers to slowly chip away at today’s action and gear themselves up for the next leg down. In my mind, up and until 9/21, any move below 1310 and you have to be very, very careful about being long with a sell stop below; these asshats [LP’s/bullion banks] teamed up with the manipulators can shitcan this stuff $10 - $30 per Oz. in a heartbeat; we’ve seen this the last couple of weeks when 1330 got taken out, and also 1315. Your sell stop becomes a market order, and you’re gonna get filled at the bottom; expect anything else and you are delusional.
Before I finish and head to the beach [cold Corona with lime, cuz I need that vitamin C], one more thing I want to mention; WTI Crude Oil. Most likely in the next week to 10 days, I’ll have the manual and mq4 algorithm file ready for release. And while my main focus is on gold, I can “multitask” and am constantly watching WTI crude oil; the trade opportunities here are amazing. This is a market that very much is a “U.S.” based market, with [most of the time] most of the action between 08:00 – 14:00 New York time. If you want a market that gives you U.S. hours with the “most swings in the shortest time”, then you’ve got it with WTI crude oil.
A few things of note about this market; 1) price swings are “off the charts”; this is one crazy ass market, with weekly moves ± 15% [or more] on a consistent basis, 2) a dealer [LP’s] community that has finally got their act together and decided to offer CFD’s that make sense for brokerage house customers rather than simply be a vehicle for gouging retail chumps, and 3) futures volume [1,000 bbl = 1 contract] that consistently reaches almost 1,000,000 contracts per day; in other words, this is where the world’s big “hot money” is trading, and that means very solid liquidity in the CFD’s.
I can tell you now, the volatility algorithm in crude oil [Brent also, if you prefer, but IMHO WTI is the better trading instrument] will take your breath away; yea, it’s that good! Unlike the DAX30, and spot gold [XAUUSD], everything is different in crude oil; don’t assume you can take the parameters in gold and just plug them into crude oil, cuz if you do, you’ll get monkey hammered. It’s a market that’s got an entirely different personality, a much different dynamic, and more beholden to rumors and manipulation than any other market on the planet!
I’ll have much more on crude oil next week, with the 2 best places to trade it, the competitive cost structure, what it takes to “play” in terms of money, and why you should trade this market [long and short] if only being long gold [which is what the gold algorithm is all about] makes you nervous and/or you’re worried about being a “one trick pony” and need some diversification without getting involved in the FX casino, where [seriously] you might as well be playing roulette and getting the free buffet.
One of the places I recommend you trade WTI crude oil has no “rollover vig”, meaning during the week you can carry [through to the next day] positions with no monetary penalty; that means not only short term trading, but the 2nd volatility algorithm for WTI crude oil will also be for intermediate term traders. [I don’t ever recommend positions over the weekend in any market; however, during the business week, when markets in the CFD’s are closed for about an hour at the end of the New York day, and before Asia opens, usually [but not always] present little price risk for positions as long as 2 criteria are met; 1) the position is clearly profitable [at least 30 cents per bbl.], and 2) meaningless or NO vig on positions.] More on all of this next week.
For you Newbies out there, who are just discovering the website and are new to my work, this last month here on the new website, you have seen the power of the “-vegas GOLD VOLATILITY ALGORITHM”; if you go back and read the blog posts, download the algorithm files, and become familiar with the trading rules, please, ANYBODY PLEASE, show me where the algorithm leads you astray and doesn’t capture consistent profits from trading.
So, next week, I’ll take some time and expand on the WTI crude oil market. For now, it’s beach time; the dog is screamin’ for a beggin’ strip, and has his beach Frisbee in his mouth along with that look that says, “C’mon man, you’re F-ing killing me here – let’s go already!!” Until Monday …
Have a great weekend everybody!

HOPIUM FOR DOPES

GET YOUR TRADING TRUTH RIGHT HERE!

Ok, so let me get this straight; every economic indicator released the last few trading days has seen numbers that make economists nervous [unexpectedly of course] about the economy; if it were a Repub regime, they would be screaming all over CNBC about a recession, but since it’s “The One”, President Empty Suit, they let it pass. And in all of this, I’m somehow supposed to believe the “fairy tale” NFP report tomorrow shows an expanding, growing economy, good enough to justify a rate hike in 3 weeks?
Because, what gold has been telling us since J-Hole, and comments by Fisher et al, is that rate hikes are coming, and you’ve seen gold get monkey hammered from the 1340’s pretty much straight down to 1302 and change this morning; throw in the fact that one of the world’s largest shippers [Hanjin] has just declared bankruptcy, and what we are truly seeing is a world wide mess economically. And with all that, I’m supposed to believe some dumb-ass FED Pie Hole with “dot plots” showing me the upward glide path for rate hikes going forward into 2018? Seriously, did you vote for Obama and just can’t get rid of the “hopium” you are hooked on?
And just as a side note; “Christ, it’s about time the stock market woke the hell up and started going lower, regardless the “Plunge Protection Teams”, because the world is very much going to hell very quickly!”
Which, brings me to today; coming in, I’m asking myself if the bullion banks & dealers got enough resolve to push gold below 1300 and take out some serious sell stops from everybody long since Brexit; if they do, what does that leave for tomorrow? If the fairy tale number tomorrow is “strong”, wouldn’t you want [as the most desirable scenario if you are a dealer of bullion bank] to see a gap lower by $15 - $30 per Oz. and be able to fill all the saps retail stops on the bottom? If you take that “ammo” away today, what’s left for the NFP release?
So, I’m ready to react to whatever they decide to do, and for a while it looked like 1300 would eventually get taken out; but funny things happen in a probabilistic world don’t they? First up, gold moves higher in Asia and then drifts lower in Europe, so coming in we are a lot closer to the lows than the highs, which if you remember, I’m telling you most of the time the U.S. session “unwinds” and goes the opposite direction. Second, the market gets blind-sided with the horrible ISM numbers at 10:00 New York time [49.4, a contracting economy, with new orders plunging] and gold “melts up” $5 in seconds.
Up to this point I haven’t done anything because there isn’t anything to do; move down to 1302 sees about a $9 range, not enough for me to buy that mini-waterfall at the time; from the double bottom low, we get a short covering blitz taking us up to the exhaustion lines before running out of steam and settling back towards 1306 – 1307. At this point, the market is sitting right on the daily white horizontal line, thus making me very suspicious of buying when the plum slope line turns up very near yellow.
And as I sit here I’m thinking, “Ok, this is probably it for the day, but I’ll wait for the ISM numbers at 10, and after that see whatever reaction there is, and if there isn’t much going on I’ll hit the beach about Noon and wait it out until tomorrow’s NFP number.” When I saw the number, and the resulting $5 spike, I’m now on “beach hold” because what I’m now looking for is a move lower so that plum comes close to yellow and the slope changes; this time we are well above the daily white horizontal line, and probability wise, if I can get the trade I want, I don’t see how they can move this stuff lower into my stop before I take a profit. Below is the trade.

So, again today, like I said yesterday, look at how well the exhaustion lines predict in real time short term tops and bottoms; say whatever you want, you can’t argue their effectiveness for trading purposes.
The KEY TO EFFECTIVELY TRADING GOLD IS DISCIPLINE & PATIENCE; if you don’t have it, you won’t do very well. Because of the very erratic nature of the trade, the manipulation by the bullion banks at the behest of the FED & BIS, the spread, and finally pricing by the dealers, you have got to be buying on the way down [at the turn] and most definitely selling on the way up [forget whatever happens afterwards] if you want good fills and profitable trades.
Seriously folks, I don’t care if I’m right about my opinions on price; I could care less if they make me look like an idiot. The only thing that matters is profit, and the algorithm will give me that pretty much every single day. “Hey, it’s still not Noon yet! Time for the beach! Tomorrow is “stupidity day”; follow the rules, make the appropriate trade[s], and leave with profits. Until tomorrow …
Have a great day everybody!
