OMG!

 

“Even babies are shocked at the lack of gold trading action!”

Well, whaddaya gonna do here? … I mean, late morning in New York and 

the day’s range isn’t even $7 … up/down, back & forth, the usual horseshit 

that recently has defined gold … what, this is now mainstream? “The ChiCom 

Hustle in all its glory”!

9th day in a row, and we can’t get out of a daily range set 2 Friday’s ago 

… sure volatility has gone down in some of the other markets, but fur is still 

flying in FX, especially GBPJPY … and this is the best gold can do? 

I’m out of adjectives to describe gold … it is what it is … I’ll trade it, when it 

shows up for trading … and from where I’m sittin’, I don’t have a clue what 

ignites it from here, either up or down, cuz whatever you want to call the 

recent “trading action”, it gives no meaningful clues about where price heads 

next. This market looks and feels like a “black hole”.

I’m searching the memory banks to try and remember when gold lacked such 

action as we’ve seen lately … yes, around Holidays in the Summer like 4th of 

July, or maybe Memorial Day it can get awfully slow … but here we are at the 

beginning of the new year, with other markets moving and news breaking 

… and we get this? We had a string of days back around Memorial Day last 

year, where for about 20 trading days, gold was in an approximate $20 range 

from the tips … but nothing recently inside about a $12 range we see now 

… “I realize the ChiComs got a hold on things, but this is ridiculous”. We finish 

the day here, with one of the most pathetic excuses for a market I think I’ve 

ever seen … quite frankly, I don’t know how anybody can profitably trade this 

mess in its current form … it simply has to get more active and start putting in 

larger ranges, with better two-way action up/down … since this market is 

dying, I’m not sure it can do it … we’ll see.

Onto tomorrow … I’m outta here … until tomorrow mi amigos 

… Onward & Upward!!
