HAPPY BIRTHDAY U.S.A.!

 

“Yea great … happy B’day … when do I get some cake!?”

A somewhat more normal trading day in the Hang Seng, if there is such a 

thing, but the USDCNH continues with “eye watering” moves for an FX pair. 

 

A very short blog post today, cuz as we all know today is “special” … not cuz 

we get some great fireworks, and most get the day off from “Pudding Business” 

work … it’s “special” cuz of the remembrance for the Founders of our 

country & Constitution. Washington, Jefferson, Adams [all of ‘em], Monroe, 

Franklin, Hancock, etc., were and always will be the most unique, forward 

thinking, visionaries of mankind, the world has ever seen. The more you know 

about them, the more special they become … truly exceptional God fearing, 

morally upright for their time in this world, men who made a positive 

difference for humanity … in spite of the current crowd of SJW revisionists, 

who quite literally are spoiled, ungrateful, intellectual pukes.

About an hour into last night’s trade, waiting patiently for an algo signal, all 

of a sudden I’m seeing double screens, the walls are moving, the dog is talking 

and makes sense, I’m sweating, and it feels like I swallowed a pumpkin … I 

have no idea what brought this on, but maybe some nice sweet tea will help 

…“Whoops, here it comes, right into the kitchen sink … and in the hours ahead, 

there’s plenty more where that came from”.

Whatever it was, seems to be gone now, here in mid morning … I’m maybe 

90%, still a little wobbly in the stamina department, but I’ll be OK, and ready 

to go tonight in the Hang Seng … no 4th of July parties to host or go to, since 

it’s a Wednesday, and those are scheduled for this weekend.

So obviously, I ended up doing no trading today … couldn’t figure out what 

screen was real, and which was the mirage, and then I got PUT into bed, woke 

up this morning, and I’m all like, “Wut happened”? Well, I missed some 

good signals, especially in the day session afternoon; that’s the bad news … the 

good news? … the algorithm works beautifully when the signals are given, the 

market opens tonight yet again, and I’ll be there. So, back to taking care of biz 

with tonight’s open.

And with that, I’m outta here … until tomorrow mi amigos … as I said 

yesterday, “the future’s so bright for us in Hong Kong, I gotta wear sun tan lotion 

to bed in the Caribbean, not to get burned”! Now, if I can just watch what I eat 

and not get a stupid stomach virus, we’ll be alright. Onward & Upward!!
